We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Biostatistician to join our team. As a Senior Biostatistician, you will play a critical role in providing statistical expertise and guidance for a wide range of projects in the fields of evidence synthesis, health economics and epidemiology. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team of researchers, health economists, and statisticians to develop and implement robust statistical methodologies that drive impactful decision-making in the healthcare sector.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in biostatistics, with a strong emphasis on evidence synthesis and health economics. Experience conducting network meta-analyses (NMA) and other types of quantitative evidence synthesis will be considered an asset
- Experience with Bayesian statistics and advanced modelling techniques
- Proficient in R
- Able to efficiently conduct and interpret complex statistical analyses
- Able to successfully communicate complex statistical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Proven track record of successfully managing and leading statistical analyses on diverse projects
- High attention to detail which results in a minimal error rate and high quality output
- Reviews carefully all inputs and outputs
- Searches for, and is able to spot inconsistencies (in inputs and / or outputs)
- Takes the lead investigating the source of such inconsistencies
- Proficient in the use of R packages such as Officer, for exporting of analysis output into Word, PowerPoint, and / or Excel.
- Proficient in the use of R package ggplot2 for generating figures.
- Organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently within a team environment
- Experience with VBA programming in Excel is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design and implement statistical analysis plans for health economics and evidence synthesis projects
- Perform statistical analyses, including advanced regression models, survival analysis, and network meta-analysis
- Collaborate with researchers and clients to define project objectives and deliverables
- Ensure the accuracy, quality, and integrity of data and results
- Contribute to the development of research protocols and study design
- Provide line management and mentorship to junior statisticians
Education:
- MSc or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or equivalent experience
