Broadstreet will be presenting our research on a number of projects at the ISPOR Europe conference in Copenhagen this year. As well, we are looking forward to learning what’s new in the use of real-world evidence and other hot topics in health economics and outcomes research.
We have seven posters at the conference this year, on subjects ranging from caregiver experiences with Friedreich ataxia to an exploration of the average expenditures per response obtained with treatment for cervical dystonia in Canada.
We are particularly pleased to be presenting our own research exploring considerations and methodologies when reference arms with varying routes of administration (e.g., oral, intravenous, subcutaneous) are pooled during the conduct of a network meta-analysis (NMA). NMAs are very frequently required in health technology assessment submissions, and it’s important to understand how combining reference arms with different methods of drug administration could influence the results of the analysis. Through a comprehensive review of recently published NMAs, we looked at how often this occurs and how this potential source of bias was addressed in these studies. Come and visit us during Poster session 4 to hear more about our results and conclusions.
We invite you to check out all our posters:
